The Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus is specifically developed for e-bikes, where higher speeds, greater weight, and longer distances demand enhanced safety, durability, and reliable puncture protection. It is suitable for city, trekking, and touring rides, as well as for more demanding daily e-bike use.
Puncture protection
Exceptional puncture protection is provided by the Smart-DualGuard system, which combines the patented SmartGuard protective layer with two layers of RaceGuard fabric. This combination of different protective layers reduces the risk of damage from sharp objects and ensures a safer ride on longer journeys.
Compound and grip
The specially developed ADDIX E compound is tailored to the demands of e-bikes. It ensures good grip even at higher speeds, while simultaneously offering a long service life and good rolling characteristics.
Construction and comfort
The reinforced sidewall construction further stabilizes the tire and increases load-bearing capacity. Anti-Aging technology reduces sidewall cracking, particularly when riding at lower pressures. This makes the tire suitable for heavier e-bikes and long-distance rides as well.

The HS498 tread pattern features a modern, dynamic look and sufficient tread depth for versatile use. Suitable for asphalt, city streets, gravel, and well-maintained off-road paths, the Marathon E-Plus is an excellent choice for trekking and touring e-bikes.
