ECONO products are manufactured and tested by Comtron d.o.o. according to the highest quality standards. At ECONO, we provide a warranty, the duration of which depends on the type of product. You can claim the warranty within the warranty period by submitting a warranty claim along with a completed warranty form, the purchase invoice, and the product. Comtron will handle your warranty claims in accordance with the rules applicable to the warranty guarantee.
The warranty does not cover defects resulting from: failure to follow the instructions in the product manual, modifications to the original product design, damage due to force majeure, accidents, improper assembly, operator error, water damage, or failure to follow maintenance instructions. Damages to bicycles used for jumping, stunt riding, rental programs, any similar extreme riding, or events are also excluded from the warranty.
This warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts of the product with parts of equal or greater value, at the seller’s discretion, within 45 days from the date the warranty claim is received. The seller is not liable to the buyer or any other person for any incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from this warranty.
Warranty applies:
The warranty applies exclusively to defects in the product caused by material faults or manufacturing errors. To claim the warranty, a validated warranty certificate and the original purchase invoice must be presented. Customers can submit warranty claims to the seller or to the seller’s authorized service partners.
Comtron d.o.o. guarantees the performance and proper functioning of the product within the warranty period, which begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer.
For ECONO electric bikes, we offer:
- 12-month warranty on components that are not consumables (consumables include tires, inner tubes, chains, sprockets, brake pads, discs, cables, and wires),
- 36-month warranty on the frame,
- 24-month warranty on the motor, battery, and display.
For ECONO electric bikes used for rental, lease, or industrial purposes (such as deliveries or goods transport), the warranty is valid for 12 months or up to 4,000 km ridden, whichever comes first.
The seller covers the transport costs of the defective product during the warranty period, limited to the value of the cheapest public transport to the nearest authorized service center.
The warranty does not cover defects resulting from careless damage, poor maintenance, or improper use not in accordance with the product’s user manual.
To claim the warranty, contact the seller or an authorized service center with the warranty certificate and proof of purchase. Claims will be resolved as quickly as possible, generally within 8 days of receipt, unless a longer period is required, in which case an explanation will be provided. In exceptional cases (e.g., supply of spare parts), the period may be extended up to 30 days, and the customer will be informed.
If a significant part of the product is replaced, the seller will issue a new warranty certificate for the replaced part.
The warranty does not exclude consumer rights arising from the seller’s liability for defects in the goods.
Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period, with a validated warranty certificate and invoice. Ensure that the seller fills in the warranty certificate correctly with the sale or delivery date, the original stamp, and the product’s serial number.
Repairs and replacement parts will be provided for at least 3 years after the warranty period expires.
If the EPAC bike does not meet the specifications or lacks the features stated in the warranty certificate or advertisements, the consumer has the right to repair, replacement, proportional price reduction, or refund.
The warranty does not exclude consumer rights under mandatory conformity guarantees according to Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), which can be exercised free of charge against the seller.
The warranty is valid within Slovenia and the European Union.
Warranty does not apply:
The warranty does not cover the following cases:
- If the product has been tampered with or modified by an unauthorized person.
- Mechanical defects or damages caused by physical force.
- Defects that occurred during transport after the product was received.
- If a validated warranty certificate and the original invoice are not provided.
- All consumable materials.
- Defects resulting from improper use or overloading of the product.
- Defects caused by external impacts or foreign objects, such as sand or stones.
- Damage caused by failure to follow instructions, such as connecting to incorrect voltage or current type, or improper assembly.
- Normal wear and tear.
Some components of ECONO bikes are naturally exposed to wear due to their function. The degree of wear depends on maintenance, care, and the way the bike is used. Bikes left outdoors frequently may experience increased wear due to weather conditions. Certain components require regular maintenance. Nevertheless, they will eventually reach the end of their service life, depending on usage and conditions, and must be replaced when worn.

- Rechargeable battery
- Batteries & electrical system components on e-bikes.*Batteries and electrical system components of e-bikes are covered under this warranty against manufacturing defects, but it does not cover the gradual decrease in battery capacity or performance that occurs over time due to normal usage, age, or the number of charging cycles.

Other warranty informations
- The 36-month warranty covers parts designed by ECONO, including the bike frame. It begins on the date the bike invoice is issued to the first owner.
- The 24-month warranty covers parts designed by ECONO, including the battery, motor, and display. It also starts on the date the bike invoice is issued to the first owner.
- Original parts from other manufacturers, such as Shimano, Tektro, etc., are also covered by a minimum 12-month warranty, unless stated otherwise.
- The warranty applies only to material and manufacturing defects that were present at the time of delivery and is non-transferable, meaning it is valid only for the first owner of the bike.
Due to product development and discontinuation (e.g., production of certain frames or components ceases), replacement parts for older or limited models may not be available. In such cases, we will provide a replacement that we consider most comparable. All labor costs for warranty services, including removal of old components and installation of new parts, are the responsibility of the bike owner.
Examples of what the warranty does NOT cover:
- Accidental damage caused by collision, fall, or similar external forces
- Wear and tear or damage due to use or insufficient maintenance
- Damage caused by corrosion
- Damage caused by using the bike outside its designated category
- Changes in color due to environmental factors or cleaning agents
Terms and conditions
- When filing a claim under this warranty, the user must provide a copy of the purchase document (sales invoice) for the bicycle to ECONO or the distributor.
- The user must maintain the product purchased in good working condition, according to the instructions and recommendations provided in the instruction booklet accompanying the bicycle and the manuals published on the ECONO website. ECONO may reject any warranty claims that are the direct result of poor product maintenance by the user.
- This warranty does not apply to cases of damage or defects arising from negligent use of the bicycle, the mounting of non-original accessories not supplied or mounted by our factory, or any inappropriate manipulation or maintenance operations by you, the user, or by any third party on your behalf.

Should a frame crack or break due to external factors unrelated to manufacturing defects, a discount is offered on a new, similar unit on the following terms:
- 0-12 months after the purchase date: 50% discount on the retail price.
- 13-24 months after the purchase date: 40 % discount on the retail price.
- 25-36 months after the purchase date: 30% discount on the retail price.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The purchase invoice must be shown on requesting the service.
- The purchase option is for a frame similar or equivalent to the broken unit.
- Labour costs for assembling the frame or fork on the bike are payable by the user.
- The purchase option becomes available only when the broken frame is returned.
- ECONO will handle the shipping of the frame. If the original distributor is not used, ECONO reserves the right to decide whether to cover shipping costs or not.
