The BMS circuit is designed to protect and control the battery. It's designed for Li-ion cells. BMS also has bluetooth, through which you can monitor or change BMS parameters. BMS functions:
cell overcharging protection
cell overheating protection
oversupply protection
short-circuit protection
discharge protection
balancing cells (keeping all cells at the same voltage level)
